At the big demonstration in favour of independence in Edinburgh a few weeks 
ago, I noticed several copies of the blue flag with a white unicorn rampant 
above a wave pattern at the foot. It was being sold by itinerant flag-sellers of 
the kind that you might find at a football match. This would seem to indicate 
that it is not the flag of a particular group but has been commercially 
produced. I am not quite clear about the exact meaning of the symbolism.
